Indeed -flowers are SPECTACULAR here in Tokyo. The US just doesn't market well in-store. But Tokyo's flower shops are 100% flowers, beautiful and colorful and arranged like a Target (aka - color coded and impulse buy ready).
If you aren't into flowers, I can suggest Manuel's in Shibuya. Part of a small chain of Portuguese restaurants, it's delightful. The house wine is delicious and cheap. And the corn meal codfish and shrimp salad are tops. Romantic and moderately expensive.
